Ahh, the shoes....

You have no idea how excited Brady was the learn that they had them in his size. That's right, size 8 toddler bowling shoes.
He was so excited!
Saturday night we had a great evening of bowling. Brady played not only his game, but mine too! A strike and two spares - not bad!
Brady and Daddy showing off their muscles.
Alex couldn't be left out of the fun!
Bowling lessons with daddy. We tried a few without the ramp this time.
Alex and Grandma having a good time.

Brady Candids

I bought some new tubs a while ago. Guess who likes to play in them? He especially likes to "hide" in there and see if we can find him.
We had taco night a couple weeks ago. Andy thought I was nuts to give Brady a hard shell to eat. He usually gets a quesadilla. We were trying to teach Brady to turn his head to the side when he takes a bit so that it doesn't spill...he tipped his head for every bit he ate that meal.
Lovin' his taco
I walked in to find Brady sleeping like this the other morning. It was too cute. I think the squinted eyes are from my flash. :)

Alex Candids

I've been getting a little behind on my blogging again, so here are the updates.
Alex is such a happy guy. We love to see and hear him giggle!
Playing with Daddy
Alex scoots backwards really well. He gets stuck in the tables a lot!
Our first night in big boy jammies.
He can get up on his knees now, but still prefers rolling to get places.
Alex tried a sippy cup for the first time this past weekend. He wasn't too sure what to think at first, but he did get the hang of it.
Brady even came on over to help teach Alex how to do it right. A big brother should help to teach his little bro' right?

Alex's 9 Month Pictures

It's hard to believe that Alex is 9 months old already. We had him in for photos again this week. These were a few of our favorites. Here are a few stats for you too: Alex is 29 1/2 inches tall and weighs 22lbs. 15 oz.! It's no wonder I get tired carrying him for long. :) He has 3 teeth in and 3 more on the way. They are so close to coming through. I am praying that they will this weekend!
What a big boy!

I just loved this one. My little boys reading books just melts my heart.
This one was just too cute.
Standing...all by himself

A Trip to the Children's Museum

A couple of weekends ago, we headed to the cities for a little museum fun. Having been to the Children's Museum there before, I remembered what a pain strollers are....this is how Alex and I traveled!
Brady loved the water tables again. He was soaked by the time we moved on.
Another favorite was the stage. Here the kids could play along with music and watch themselves on tv. He was pretty hilarious dancing around and playing.
Brady even took a bow when he was finished. Such a performer!
It was great that Brady was able to do more on this trip than the first time we took him. He loved the kitchen and cooked up a storm.
The cash register at the grocery store was tons of fun too.
Now the real reason why we went....DINOSAURS! Brady LOVES dinosaurs right now thanks to Dinosaur Train on PBS. He thought this was the coolest thing ever. A little reluctant at first...
but had kisses for the dinos in no time!
He got to see the big ones, play with the little ones,
and even be a REAL paleontologist!
Digging for fossils was by far his favorite thing that we did. After about 20 minutes of digging Andy asked Brady if he was ready to move on. He moved his goggles to his forehead, sighed and said "Daddy, I'm doing my work!" Then he returned the goggles to his eyes and went right back to it. We just had to laugh.
Riding the Trodon
This is Brady helping the Trodon keep her eggs warm. :)
Brady's words "Oh...by...gosh!"
The dinosaur exhibit was awesome!
Alex LOVED the infant/toddler room. He could roll and play and had so many cool things to look at.
This is his little owl face. We see it all the time!
Our little blue bird had a ton of fun dressing up!
...and flying all around the forest!
And then...they crashed. We had two VERY tired boys. It was a super fun day!
This was later that night at my sister's place. Brady loves "hiding" in this crock.

Heaven

A couple of weeks ago, we headed to Colfax to help lead worship. When the service was finished, Brady got an opportunity to play the drums. Coolest part? Dave actually turned them ON for him. He was in heaven!

Brotherly Love

The boys were playing on the floor the other day when Brady wanted to hold Alex, wrapped his arms around him and gave him a smooch. I missed the smooch, but this is my new favorite pics of my cuties!

Another Brewer Fan

I was digging through the next tub of clothes for Alex, when I came across Brady's first Brewer hat. Looks like we will be moving onto the next size due to Alex's large head! It was a tight fit, but daddy sure was excited!

Like Father, Like Son...

Brady just has to be like daddy....Lord, help me!

A little baseball

Brady is so excited for Alex to be able to really play with him. Here he is playing baseball with Jen and Alex. We had to take his bat away because his swing is becoming too good. :) It's an outside toy now...
