Our new favorite thing to watch
Andy and I recently went to go see a movie and saw the preview for Hop. A drumming rabbit - can it get any better for Brady? We have watched that preview so many times on youtube. Brady always insists that I help him drum WITH the rabbit while it plays. Alex has decided he needs in on the action too. Check it out, it's pretty funny.
Happy Birthday Daddy!
January 3 was Andy's birthday. Brady was singing Happy Birthday to Daddy for days. Here they are just before we enjoyed some cupcakes to celebrate.

Andy got a Brewers tire cover from his parents for our CRV. He was surprised and loved it!
Let the transitioning begin
New Years weekend, Andy and Jerry put together the bunk beds for the grand transition to begin. Brady was super excited. He has begun sleeping on top and is doing well with it. Alex will be moving in with his big brother in another month or so and hopefully everyone will be sleeping well by the time baby arrives!

New Toys
Alex got this great alligator wagon with blocks for Christmas. It sings and he can drag it around. He is in heaven.

Naptime on Christmas Day
You can tell that Brady is getting older when the big boys want to play with his toys too. Yep, this was during Brady's naptime. Four adult men playing with his crash track. Boys will be boys I guess.
Naptime brought another adventure on Christmas Day. Brady and his second cousin (also 3) were both napping in Andy's parents bedroom. We had fixed up beds for each of them on the floor, tucked them in, and all was quiet. About 20 minutes later, we heard a shreak from bedroom. Andy's cousin Kara and I both went running to find out what the problem was. I must say...I could not believe my eyes. These two little lambs were in the bathroom with a waterfall flowing over the counter top ledge flooding the bathroom floor from a plugged sink, the tub running, and wet blankets being frantically drug back to their beds. It was a mess and both children were soaked. So much for napping...I am sure this is one Christmas story that we will not soon forget. Christmas 2010 Part 2
Christmas Eve was spent at church and then at Andy's mom and dad's. We had a very nice service at Bethesda. This was our family after church.
The boys had fun playing in the laundry basket that we had brought presents in.
Both of the boys were thrilled to see Uncle Matt, Aunt Lisa, and Uncle Patrick. Uncle Matt got some snuggle time with Alex.
Brady got this super cute Brewer potato head. He loves it. Delay on cameras in such a treat...the smile faded as he waited for the flash.

There is nothing quite like being at home on Christmas morning when you have little kids. The boys were so excited. These were our stockings from Santa.
Our Christmas tree
Brady was so into Christmas this year. He made a special plate for Santa's cookies at preschool and brought home a bag full of reindeer food to sprinkle on the snow. Here is Brady checking to make sure his milk and cookies had been eaten. Alex just grabbed a handful of crumbs and ate them. So cute.
Santa brought the boys a tool bench and a new piece for their train set. Both were a big hit!

Christmas night we had a birthday cake for Jesus and sang to him. The best part was when we talked about it Brady said, "But mommy, how will Jesus blow out the candles?" So precious. No worries, Brady was happy to help out.
Christmas 2010 Part 1
Christmas was a whirl-wind couple of days. We began by celebrating with my family on Christmas Eve day. It was wonderful to spend the day with my parents, sister, and brother-in-law. This is Alex showing off his new Brewers sweatshirt. Brady got one too.
I just loved his picture. Alex enjoyed sitting, climbing, and standing on his gifts just as much as opening them. I love the little smile on his face as we were just spending time together.

Brady was really into Christmas this year. He couldn't wait to open presents. This was the Hotwheels Crash Track that he had been telling all of us he wanted multiple times a day since Thanksgiving. He was SO excited!

Making Cookies
Brady was really excited to help make Christmas cookies this year. We had made a couple kinds and some candy, but he kept begging me to make cut outs. So, I caved and we made sugar cut out cookies the day I was off before Christmas. Here is my happy little helper.
Alex loved watching them bake and just kept hollering, "Cookie, cookie!
