Test Drive

While I was out thrift saling this past weekend, I found a hiking backpack for $3! We thought we would give it a try tonight before our trip out west in a month and see how Brady would like it. He was great - he loved riding on daddy's back. We think it will come in handy on our trip.
It's hard to see, but Brady is sporting his new Brewer hat from the game this weekend. It says, Little Brewers MVP on it. Like father, like son. The kid is only 11 months old and he already owns more Brewers clothing/hats than I have in my whole life! A boy after his daddy's heart!

Happy Traveler

Squeals of delight came from the back of the van as we headed to Milwaukee for the weekend with both sets of grandparents. We took in some shopping, swimming, and a Brewer game. Here is our happy little traveler in the van.
Toes are Brady's new favorite thing to suck on. So gross, but yet so cute. You tell him that it is gross and he just giggles and does it even more.
Little cutie...

Brady's First Swim

Brady had his first swim this weekend at our hotel. He was a little unsure what to think of the water when we first got in, but then he did have fun. He was splashing and kicking quite a bit. We brought a floatie for him too that he loved being pulled around in the water in.
Daddy was "tossing" Brady up in the air and landing in the water.
Brady thought this was pretty great.
Daddy also gave Brady his first shower this weekend. There was one right in the pool area which was way easier than doing a bath back in the room. He wasn't too sure what to make of the water coming out of the wall. I can definately say that he prefers baths, but this was fun too.

Chin-ups?

That's right...Grandpa Schwartzhoff had Brady doing chin-ups on the luggage rack before we headed to the game from our hotel. Silly grandpa!

The Big Game

Brady took in his first live Brewer game at Miller Park this weekend. His daddy was so excited! Both sets of grandparents joined in for the fun. We tailgated before the game and Brady was super good during the game. He loved the music and the fireworks for the homeruns.
Gotta love his retro outfit! This is Brady with his Polish bottlehead from the game.
No naps are rough on little ones. Good thing Grandpa makes a good pillow! He made it until about the 8th inning, what a trooper!

A little tired, but here is our fam after the game. It was a great time and the Crew won.
Go Brewers!

My new "toy"

Brady continues to love playing in the fridge and this picture was just too cute. I had to share it.
New toy of choice? The mustard bottle. Easy to grab for his little hands and of course it is straight into his mouth!

Love my grandpas

Monday night was Andy's weekly softball game and both sets of grandparents showed up for the big event. This was troublesome for Brady to decide which of his two favorite grandpas he should go to. Needless to say, he bounced back and forth between them both during the entire game. What a sweet photo!

Dad's Day

It was a happy first Father's Day for Andy! We got together with a bunch of his family at his parents' house that afternoon. It was great to see everyone and to help celebrate his grandpa's 84th birthday!
I am loving this picture of my boys. Brady looks so grown up...what happened to my little baby?

Leine Lodge

On Saturday we headed to the Leine Lodge to meet up with a couple of Andy's cousins. It was their annual Family Reunion Days. They had free food and beverage for all who attended and a great band that played out by the river. It was a great time on a beautiful summer day.

Cutie

This was my little cutie the other morning after he woke up and had his bottle. Daddy took him out to the kitchen floor to play before breakfast. Though his pj's say "crabby" he looks pretty perky to me!

Another bottom drawer...

The other day while I was working on some homework from my class, this is the look I received when I looked down to see what little man was up to. He had paper plates and cups all over the kitchen by the end of play time on the floor!
Cheap thrills...

Gaining Confidence

It is not unusual to find Brady playing in the tupperware cupboard at home...what is unusal is that he is standing here and barely holding on! This week Brady has been standing a ton and walking around everything. He is beginning to let go more while standing, but still doesn't take more than about a half step before grabbing on again. Is he looking more like a toddler than a baby or what?

Brady's First Crayons

Leave it to Crayola...they think of everything. Brady got his first crayons the other day and we decided to try them out tonight. They are called TaDoodles and are meant for little hands. He loved playing with them, though he was very uncertain how to make them work on the paper. Brady did have a fun time playing with them and mommy did a little drawing with him to help him get the idea.
It was all fun and games until the crayons went in the mouth and Brady started to chew on them. This was the result when mean, ol' mommy took them away. Have I mentioned that he is developing quite a little temper? Ah, parenthood...

Ring Around the Rosie

Brady went round and round the chair tonight in the kitchen letting me chase him. He giggled the whole time. It is amazing how fast he moves on his feet now. His balance is getting more steady by the day and he is regularly letting go of holding on. No steps yet, but we know they are coming soon!

Early Birthday Present

It is hard to believe that I am thinking about Brady's 1 year birthday already... Brady got his first birthday present this weekend from Aunt Lisa. She won't be able to make it up for Brady's b-day so she brought his gift this weekend when she was home. It was this super sweet Brewer's blanket. Daddy was jealous and Brady LOVED it! Anything soft and fuzzy is great in his book!

Our new favorite things

Brady is all boy and his new favorite toys are of no surprise to us. This little orange bat is a favorite along with his usual trucks around our house. If it is not one it's the other. Life has been busy for us as I wrap up the school year, so that's why there haven't been very many pictures or posts lately. Brady is growing like a weed though and moving faster and faster everyday. It is fun that he will walk holding our hands now.
Brady got a new ball this weekend at Target. This is a photo of him playing "catch" with daddy tonight after dinner. They rolled the ball back and forth to one another and Brady thought this was great fun. You have to love that smile and the giggle that comes along with it!
