Balance

This one was so cute, I just had to share it. Brady is getting so strong and his balance is improving quickly. Our little climber is up on everything and loves to "walk" along the spindles in our kitchen. What fun. It's going to be a busy summer I think!

A little sunshine

My mom and I had to do some photo shooting of downtown Eau Claire for a lesson we are planning for social studies. It was fairly sunny today, although not too warm. Brady joined us for a little sunshine and our walking tour of downtown.
It was a very windy afternoon, so I pulled down part of Brady's stroller to help block the wind from his face. He didn't like that too much because then he couldn't see where we were going. Before I knew it, a little hand squeezed through the stroller and pushed up the hood a bit. This is Brady peeking out to see all the action. Too cute!
We also enjoyed a little afternoon sunshine once we got back to Grandma and Grandpa Schwartzhoff's house. They were out raking and this is Brady spotting them across the yard. Love the sunglasses, don't you?

Hanging out with mommy

Not a fan...

Brady got to explore grass for the first time today. He was very hesitant and not too sure of the whole situation. This picture summed up his puzzled face well.
When we layed him down on his tummy it took about a second for those hands to come up off the ground. He used his elbows instead and was sitting up again in seconds. He did NOT want to touch it.
Grandma was sitting so close to him but that awful grass was in the way. He would not even crawl that short distance to her. Too funny...

Bubbles and Giggles

Today was Brady's first experience with bubbles. It was a riot! He loved them. At first he wasn't really sure what to do with them. Once one of them popped right in his face he got the giggles. It was so much fun watching him discover these and giggle his afternoon away.
Checking things out.
The giggles after it popped.

Brady's Nine Month Pictures and Stats

Can you believe that Brady is nine months old already? He hit 20lbs. this month and is 30 inches long! We got his pictures taken again last week. Here are a few for your viewing pleasure. Brady's balance is unbelievable to me. He is standing all the time and crawls so fast. Nothing is safe in our house anymore!
The first one is one of my favorites. Don't you love his duck, Quackly?
With his Easter bunny...
Standing like a big boy!

Story time...

Brady LOVES books and turns the pages by himself. I wanted to capture that for his pictures.

VBall

Saturday night we headed out on the town for our 11 year at the Viennese Ball! It was a wonderful evening filled with friends, great music, and dancing. Before we hit the ball, we gathered with many friends for a few appetizers and drinks. It was a great way to kick off the evening.
We went with our friends the Cedarblades and the Berges who are youth leaders with us at church.
Our annual family photo at the ball.
Becca and Jen - can you tell we are sisters!?!

New Brewers Gear

Grandma and Grandpa Schwartzhoff did a little spoiling recently. Brady got a new Brewers sweatshirt and hat from them yesterday in honor of baseball season beginning. Brady looked pretty cute in his retro sweatshirt and new baseball hat.

The big fans! Are we ready for a game or what?!? Thanks, grandma and grandpa!

First Haircut

Tonight was the big night for Brady's first haircut!! Grandma Johnson did the cutting, Daddy did the holding, and Mommy did the photographing. Talk about a moving target! Brady was moving everywhere and not so sure just what was going on. "A haircut already?" you may ask. Yes, it was getting awfully long around the ears and we felt that we should trim things up before his nine month pictures tomorrow. Here are a few shots from the fun tonight!

Here is the final product. Brady was not too pleased by the end of it as you can see.

Getting better...

Brady is getting better each day at drinking out of his sippy cup. He is beginning to grab at it to give himself a drink, though he is not so good at tipping it back so that he can actually get water out of it just yet. We are working on it.
