My First "Thank You, Mommy!"

Today was an exciting evening for me! I got my first "thank you, mommy, supper" tonight! Whenever we have finished dinner I have always gotten Brady out of his chair and he gives me a hug and a kiss before he gets down to play. Lately, Andy has told him, "tell mommy, thank you for supper." Tonight Brady said it all on his own...no prompting from daddy. It made my day and made my heart melt.

VBall 2009

Our tradition continues...12 years of VBall for our us. We had a great time this last weekend. Jen and Jerry came for the festivities and we joined with some college friends for a wonderful dinner at Sweetwaters before the ball. Although there was no dancing for me this year, we still had a great time.
Here are the boys.
Jen and I always take a picture together.

Percussionist?

For how much Brady loves to drum, my dad swears that Brady will be a percussionist some day. Andy rigged up a strap for his drum and he is regularly seen marching around the house with his drum!

Easter

Can't tell we have been super busy lately can you?! Here are a few pictures from Easter. I wanted a cute one of Brady with his bunny. This was the only picture I got of him looking at me. No smiles though.
Opening his Easter basket
This one was the big hit...
We got Brady and bowling set and he LOVES it! It has become his new favorite toy.
There were tears Easter morning when we had to leave our bowling set to head to church. Needless to say, the ball made the trip with us in the car.

Passed Out

Brady has gone non-stop since he woke up this morning. He has eaten like a horse all day...I think he is making up for being sick for 5 days! After a huge lunch at Red Robin, he was jabbering away to Andy and I in the car and then it was suddenly silent. I looked back to see this. He was totally whipped out! I guess all that eating and playing finally caught up to him.

Opening Day Bliss!

Go Brewers! Andy and Brady sported their matching shirts for opening day at Miller Park today. The Brewers played the Cubs and beat them in a great game. Both boys cheered and are glad that baseball season has started.

Fun with Gram and Grandpa

Tonight we had an early Easter with my mom and dad. Brady got his Easter basket from them and it was filled with goodies. He especially like his eggs filled with Goldfish crackers and money. Putting his coins in his car bank was one of the highlights of the night.
Brady certainly takes after his Grandpa. He was thrilled tonight to get a special treat...one of Grandma's chocolate chip brownies. He ate a WHOLE one himself and still asked for more. Who can blame him? They are delicious!
After dinner, we headed to our neighborhood school to play for a bit. Brady loved swinging with Daddy and Grandpa. As long as one of them was swinging with him, he was happy. He got the giggles when Daddy would drag his feet on the ground. Andy wondered if Brady would always be this easy to amuse. Yeah, right.
Love the grins.
The super big tube slide was the hit of the night. Brady LOVED it and asked to go down again and again.
Riding the airplane.
Thanks for a fun night Grandma and Grandpa!

Praise God!

Today was the big day for my second ultrasound. Praise God, it was all great news! There were some concerns with my first ultrasound, thus the need for a second. The doctor was checking for placement of my placenta, which could have resulted in a C-section and/or major complications during child birth. The great news is that everything is normal and we should be able to have a natural birth. Yeah!
Baby currently weighs approximately 4lbs. 13oz. which is just a few ounces above normal for 33 weeks. It is hard to believe we only have 7 weeks to go before our due date! There are two pictures below. The first is of baby's face - looking at you.
He was an active little guy during the ultrasound. The nurse tried out a few of the 3D photos for us. Most of them were blurry because he was moving so much. This was the best one we could get. We can't wait to meet him!

A Rough Three Days...

I am so thankful that I have a husband that is able to come home over his lunch hour! It has been a rough few days in our house. Brady has had the flu since Wednesday. It all started at Grandma Johnson's (bless her for taking care of him that day!), has continued and isn't letting up. I thought we were in the clear the other night, but the throwing up has continued whenever Brady has eaten anything. Today I had a real mess all over Brady, me, and our bed. Thank the Lord Andy was able to come home for a little while so that I could get myself and everything cleaned up. Brady finally fell asleep while I was in the shower. Here is my precious boy...we pray that he feels better soon!
