Colorado Family Photos

While we were out in Colorado this summer, we had family pictures taken by a professional photographer. They turned and great and she took a ton! Here is a sampling of our photos.

Football Season begins

This was the scene in our house the night of the first preseason Packer game. The boys were decked in green and gold, football helmet was out, footballs were flying, and the tackling began. All mixed with giggles from the boys and plenty of Go Pack Go. Got to love football season!

Our Big Day at Miller Park

"There's Bernie's slide!" While in Milwaukee we of course caught a Brewer game.

Brady was thrilled to be at the ball park. Here he is batting with Braun.
The sausage race is always the highlight of the game for the boys. Today was Italian's big bobble head day, so naturally he won.
Here are the boys at the game. Alex is looking a little under the weather. He was running a fever and teething so badly that it made for a tough game for him, mommy, and daddy. Thank goodness we had grandma, grandpa, Aunt Lisa, and soon-to-be Uncle Patrick along with us!
What made it all worth while was after the game. Yep, Brady got to run the bases. He was so patient. After waiting close to 30 minutes in line he hit the field and ran harder than I have ever seen him run in his life. Brady is the little one in the white jersey and blue short between 2nd and 3rd base.
Coming upon home plate. He was SO EXCITED!
Here is our big boy with a proud and excited daddy. Andy was thrilled just to get to be on the field!!
Our family photo from the game. Not great. Alex finally gave it up and fell asleep.
Here is my big boy. He just loves baseball!

Visiting the Milwaukee Zoo

Well, I am a bit behind on my posting lately. A couple of weeks ago we enjoyed a weekend in Milwaukee with Andy's family. We spent part of one day at the Milwaukee Zoo which we all enjoyed. This is Brady and Andy sitting on one of the cool benches in the welcome center.
This one was taken for my sister. Brady kissing a baby monkey. :)
Unfortunately, Alex was in the middle of a teething mess this weekend. He and Grandpa Johnson spent lots of quality time together at the zoo and Alex was a much happier camper. Thanks, Grandpa!
Alex LOVED the fish. I was bummed I wasn't centered, but this face was just too funny. He oohed and talked to the fish constantly.
Check out those tracks! Brady was in heaven. We didn't know it until we got there, but they had a huge dinosaur exhibit while we were there. Brady followed these tracks through the zoo to get us there.
His first dino ride!
These things were awesome! Huge...they made noises, moved, and some even sprayed water at you. Brady loved it!
Big and small, he loved them all.
We had one happy kiddo leaving the dino exhibit. He chose a stuffed steg and a chomper to take home. Such a little boy toy.
Alex chillin' with his triceritops.
Another highlight of the day was feeding the goats. Brady just giggled as they nibbled out of his hand. It was a fun day!

Finger Painting

As I am posting here today I am noticing a theme: getting dirty. First it was newsprint, then dirt, then chocolate, and now paint! Gotta love little boys!
Brady and I headed outside during Alex's nap this morning for a little finger painting. Wearing one of daddy's old t-shirt he was pretty stylish.
I loved listening to him giggle the messier he got!
It started with one finger, then multiple fingers, then both hands!
Brady with one of his works of art. It was so fun!

Yum

There's nothing better than warm chocolate chip cookies. Brady insisted on a picture with his after I got a few of the messy one below. Yep, Alex's first warm chocolate chip cookie. He was a big fan!

Cozy time

Andy's cousin Kimmy made Brady this great animal blanket when he was little and she just made a bug blanket now for Alex. The boys have been dragging them around everywhere with them. They just love these little blankies. Thanks, Kimmy!

Alex is walking!

After a couple of weeks trying it out, Alex is really on the move. He is walking lots now and getting more and more steady on his feet every day. I just loved this picture!

Gettin' dirty

Last Monday's softball game was a dirty one for our boys. Our friend Hannah had brought some shovels, buckets and such to play in the dirt and the boys had at it! Here are Brady, Elijah and Alex doing what boys do best...gettin' dirty!
