Rainy Days

Brady got these sweet new rain boots and umbrella for Easter yesterday. Naturally, we had to try them out today since it has been raining all day long. He had so much fun!

Here Comes the Smolder!

For those of you Disney fans, we LOVE Tangled. Great movie and a new favorite in our house. In one part of the movie, Flynn Rider (a real lady's man), says "Here comes the smolder" and then puckers up. Our boys now say and do the same. It's hilarious!

Flynn

Alex - I love his pucker!
Brady - He tried to do it just like Flynn!

Only in the movies

So I have only ever seen this in movies, but Alex literally fell asleep while eating lunch yesterday. He didn't fall over in his food at all, but his head was totally nodding. Poor thing. It's tough when you don't get a nap on Easter Sunday. Makes for a rough Monday.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We celebrated with a fabulous church service followed by lots of family time. Our day began with an Easter egg and basket hunt at home. Here are the kiddos baskets.

The Superbowl Championship footballs were a big hit with the boys.

Following church we packed up the car and headed for Andy's Aunt Betty and Uncle Kevin's house. These are 6 of the 9 great grandchildren on the Wall side of the family. Can you tell Alex is getting his 2 year molars?

Lexi loves babies and had a great time holding Anna.

Here are the proud great grandparents and all the wiggly great grandkids.

After trying three different times during the day, this was our best family picture of the day. Goodness that is work with such little ones. :) I thought this one turned out quite well.

Anna's first holiday to celebrate was Easter. What a great first holiday! She looked beautiful in her Easter dress and little sweater.

Dressin' Up

While on the hunt for khaki pants for Alex to wear on Easter, Andy found Brady's old chicken costume. He thought Alex should wear it on Easter Sunday. No worries, it stayed in the storage tub at home. He sure is cute though!

Brady couldn't be left out of the dress-up fun, so out came the lion too.

Feeding Anna

Brady has been excited about helping feed Anna since before she was born. This past week he finally got his big chance as she is now taking bottles as well as nursing.

Easter Egg Fun

Last week my mom got to be a part of the Easter egg fun at our house. The boys have been playing with our plastic eggs for a month already and were excited that we were finally going to dye real ones. Alex was oh so helpful. He wanted to grab at everything!

Brady insisted on "checking" the eggs progress about every 3 seconds. :)
That was about it for pictures. My hands were needed keeping smaller hands from making a BIG mess. Got to love toddlers! Here are the results.

Mom's Day at Preschool

This past week I was blessed to join Brady at preschool for a special Mom's Day celebration. It was really cute. The kids put on a program with four songs and we all shared some muffin, fresh fruit and juice treats. Brady did a great job singing his songs and he knew all the actions.

Brady made this pretty flower for me with a poem.
It was also show and tell day. Brady insisted that Anna be his show and tell. He was very proud and very excited to share her with his class. It was precious!

Happy EARLY Birthday to the boys!

Matt, Lisa, and Patrick decided to do early birthday presents for the boys since they will not be able to make it for their parties this year. Brady was spoiled with a new big boy Cars bike and helmet. He thought he was pretty big stuff riding around the driveway!

Alex was spoiled with a new doodle - which he LOVES - and two more interactive Dinosaur Train toys. He was much too "into" his presents to look at the camera.

Thank you Aunt Lisa, Uncle Patrick, and Uncle Matt!

Lisa, Patrick and Matt come for a visit

We were all excited that Lisa, Patrick and Matt could make it back to EC, all in the same weekend, to meet our little Anna. We had a great family weekend. It sure was fun sharing Anna with them for the first time!

Anna meets Great Grandma and Grandpa Wall

A couple of weeks ago, Andy's Grandma and Grandpa Wall came to Eau Claire for a visit. They were excited to meet their 9th great grandchild!

They're Home!

April 4 was not only Grandpa Johnson's birthday, but also the day Grandma and Grandpa returned home from a 2 week trip to Arizona. The boys were SO excited to see them and we were all anxious for them to get to meet Anna!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Grandma Johnson finally gets her hands on Anna! The pictures we sent to them on their trip just are not the same. :)
Grandpa gets a little snuggle time.

So good to have them home.

Anna's Tree

In the lab at Andy's work there is a tree. This tree stays up year round and gets decorated for whatever holiday/season happens to be coming up next. The QA team that Andy works with decided to decorate it with all things baby girl and surprise Andy with it when he brought Anna in for a visit. Here is her tree. Thanks to the QA team for all the great pink goodies!

Dressin' up for church

I must admit...it was really fun dressing Anna for church on Sunday morning. Little dresses and tights are just way more fun than sweaters and khakis for little boys!

We braved going out for lunch after church. Anna got her first formula bottle from daddy. I must admit, it was a nice break. Snuggles are the best!

Sleeping Beauty

There is just something about a sleeping baby that is so precious. I love this picture.

Anna's Newborn Pictures

Anna's first big outing was to Target to get her pictures taken. It sure is a lot of work to get everyone ready, loaded up and somewhere on time right now!

Overall, her pictures turned out great. She got a bit fussy toward the end as she began thinking about eating... We got a bunch of different shots, so these are just a few of my favorites.

I had to have this shot. We have pics like this one of both of the boys hanging in our hallway.

Family Pictures

Here are a few of the family pictures that we took. Alex was a rather serious little one during picture time while Brady was overly cheesy. This is our best shot of all three kids.

Brady wanted one with Anna "all by himself." Our first official family photo as a family of five. It's still weird to say that.

Brady's Fun Day with Daddy

Last Friday, Andy took Brady out for a special Brady fun day. They hit up the Indoor Sports Center for some play time. Brady thought he was pretty big stuff that he could make baskets in the "big hoop." Granted it wasn't a basketball - too heavy for him to get up that high - but this bouncy ball was perfect. He looks so little in this picture!

Brady is into making funny faces for the camera. Here are a few of Andy and Brady goofing around.
