Here Puppy, Puppy!

This photo is for my mom and dad. They bought this snowsuit for Brady when he was a newborn and we couldn't wait for him to wear it. The problem is that it is so bulky, he doesn't fit in his car seat with it on! Being that we had a snowday today and Brady and I got to spend the day together, I thought we would take a few photos. This one is my favorite and I had to share it with everyone.
Enjoy the many posts from today. I love it when I have the time to do it. Yeah for snow days!

Daddy Dresses Brady

Andy has been anxious for this sleeper to fit. Can you tell why? It is covered in Brewers logos.
It finally fits...we have had it for 6 months. Brady is playing with his baby's first baseball and little umpire that sing "Take me out to the ballgame." Go Brewers!

Big Boy in the Big Tub!

We upgraded to the big tub last night and a new bath seat that was a gift from Great Grandma Silliman. Brady was a splashing machine! He loves to play in the water and the big tub brought a whole new meaning to bath time. I was soaked too! Brady enjoyed playing with his many tub toys. He especially liked it when I squirted water at him from one of his toys. He giggled and giggled. It was a fun new first!

Almost!

Brady has been trying hard to crawl! This week he has gotten up on both hands and kneels. Just today he began rocking back and forth a little.
This is the what we usually see. The legs have come out from underneath him and he is grinning up at you. We know it won't be long and he will really be on the move!

Cuddling with a good book before bed...

Brady loves to read books and look at all the colorful pictures. This was the site I found a few nights ago before bed time. I thought it was precious.

Eating Adventures

We continue on our quest of getting Brady to eat solid foods. He is now eating rice cereal and oatmeal well. Yesterday we tried rice cereal with bananas and this did not go over well. He messed up his face like he had just tasted something terrible and then everything that went into his mouth after that was immediately spit out. We will keep trying though!

6 Month Pictures

Many of you have been asking me to see Brady's 6 month pictures and here they are. We think they turned out well. We didn't get as many good smiles as the his 3 month shoot, but they are good. This is a sampling at least. Enjoy.
All dressed up in his Christmas outfit

Playing with our teddybear in his bear bibs.

Sitting Up

It is so hard to believe that Brady is 6 1/2 months old already. He is getting so big. Our newest accomplishment is that Brady is sitting really well on his own. I found the sweater at Kohls and it was a smokin' deal. Too cute - I just had to share this one with everybody.

Tub time in the kitchen. We will have to upgrade to the real bathtub soon. Though Brady still fits in this tub, the entire kitchen is usually soaked by the time we finish. He loves to splash now!

Six Month Stats

Brady had his 6 month doctor's appointment yesterday. He is 17lbs. 3oz. and is 27.56in. long! He is right on the 50% mark for his weight, but wow is he long for his age! Brady is in great health and was a trooper getting his shots yesterday. Last night and today were fussy days however. We could tell that he didn't feel well. It was a late night, an early morning, short naps, and quite a few tears. Fortunately, things are looking up tonight! More later and more pictures too.

New Duds

We had to say good-bye to our cute little blue coat with the ears because Brady has outgrown it. So, it was time to find some new duds for winter. We found this adorable Columbia fleece on sale at Scheels, but were bummed that it didn't have a hood. Then we found this hat and just couldn't resist. It is just simply too cute! I love it!

My New Chair

To help us prepare for future meals, Brady joined us at the dinner table in his very own chair for the first time tonight. It was so fun having him sitting there with us instead of on the table in another seat or on the floor. He really enjoyed it too. Notice he got toys, not food to entertain him while we ate.

Brady's First Cereal

Well, tonight was the big night. Brady tried his first "solid" foods. I don't know if you can really call it solids because it was still so liquidy. He wasn't too sure what to make of this new taste and texture. We know that he did eat some of it because he was swallowing. Though I must say, I think more went down the bib than in his tummy! All in all, it was quite successful. We will try again tomorrow!

We finished off our adventure with a little water from our sippy cup. Brady is still trying to get the hang of it. He does more chewing on it than actual drinking.

More Christmas

Brady and Aunt Lisa spent some quality time together over the holidays. Brady has been trying out his cup regularly and on this particular day he even drank some water! I just thought this picture was great! Love those smiles!

Andy and Brady together on Christmas morning.
Check out those cute socks - thanks Aunt Kris!

Brady watched Daddy open his Christmas present from him. It was the complete set of Topps 2007 baseball cards. Andy really wanted to start off Brady's collection right with all of the cards from the year he was born. Let the collecting begin.
