Pumpkins!

As is our tradition, we headed out to Schulz's in the afternoon following the homecoming parade, our walk around campus, and lunch.  Anna was trying to pick up the pumpkins, but they were a little big for her.
Anna was not in a picture taking mood today.  She was tired and just wanted to run.  If she saw the camera, she pretty much headed the other way.  Can you spot her running off in the background?
 Finally, one just my size!
Yep, this face sums up her mood.
 Or maybe this one.
Alex loves feeding animals.  It just makes him giggle.  The goats were definitely his favorite thing to do at the barn.
Brady had fun feeding the baby goats too.
Anna was happiest on the slide and running around.
"Puppy!"  No honey, that's a goat.
Two out of three for a pumpkin picture...
I plopped her in the wagon hoping she might be happier in there, but that wasn't such a hit either.  She does like that little pumpkin though.
The boys ended our trip with a barrel train ride around the grounds.  They thought that was pretty great.

And yes...he is still holding his football.  :)

UWEC Homecoming

This morning we headed down to campus for the homecoming parade.  It was a lot of fun and a gorgeous day.  Anna sporting grandpa's sunglasses as the parade began.
Taking it all in with grandpa.
Alex's prize of the day was his football from the alumni association.
After the parade we headed across campus for a walk.  Beautiful.

 A lovely fall day.
Each year for homecoming there is a window painting contest in the student center.  This year, the Statesmen window featured my dad...with flames coming out of his mouth and eyes as he "Burned up the Blue Devils" (the homecoming theme).  A little scary, huh?
The boys found these chairs on a terrace in the new Davies Center.  They thought they were so much fun.  Chairs and a slide all in one!

A Day at the Orchard

Last weekend we decided to head to the apple orchard.  It was a chilly September day and perfect for a little time at the orchard.  Love this one of my bundled up kiddos.
We took a wagon ride around the orchard and corn fields.
The corn maze was a big hit with the boys.
Anna was a trooper with all the wind.  She was just happy to be outside I think.
The boys also climbed the giant hay stack.
 Victory!
 My little animals!

Go Pack Go!

A couple of weeks ago, we had jersey Sunday at church.  Our kids were of course decked in green and gold.  We sat them on the front step for a picture and go this gem.  I love it!  Best picture of the three of them that we have had in a while.

Shoes!

It's no secret that one of Anna's favorite words is "shoes!"  She says it all the time.  One of her favorite things to do is shout "shoes!" and run around carrying them around the house.  She usually goes for hers or mine.  The fancier and sparklier the better!  Just like any little girly, girl she has now taken to wearing hime and clomping around the house in them.  I must say, it's pretty adorable!

Alex starts preschool!!!!

Alex's big day arrived at last.  He was SO excited!  This is his froggy all ready for the first day of school.
Heading out to take a couple of pictures and head to school.  I just love this.
 Alex's big first day

In the car and ready to go
 We love Create-a-World!
Parents were invited to stay for the first day.  Andy snapped this as they began a playdough activity at the table with Alex's teacher.  I love the look on his face.  "Dad...I got this."
It was a great first day!

Alex does his homework

Brady starting school was pretty tough on Alex.  He wanted to go to school too.  He asked about where Brady was all the time...  Well, Alex started school this year too.  Preschool that is!  He had a little homework to do before his first day.  He needed to decorate and make a frog.  Alex loved doing his painting and was very excited about his little froggy.

Soccer this fall

Brady has really enjoyed soccer again this fall.  He is a Red Pepper this time around and thinks it's hilarious that they have blue jerseys given their team name.  We are amazed at his progress in skill from the spring already.  He loves being in the game and enjoys cheering on his teammates too.  Here he is, ready for action!

Brady Starts Kindergarten!!!!!

September came and my baby started kindergarten!  I can hardly believe it.  Brady's first day of school was a visiting day with daddy.  They got to go see his classroom, meet his teacher, tour the school, and get all settled in for the year.  Here he is on his first day!
Alex wanted in on the picture taking too.
 Day 1 at Meadowview Elementary
Brady with his teacher, Mrs. Tollefson.  He really enjoyed playing with this barn while he explored his classroom on the first day.
Brady and daddy exploring the library together.
Brady got to make a school bus snack.
Following their school visit they had a lunch date.  Noodles was Brady's pick.  He was one VERY excited little boy!
Brady and mommy on our first full day of school.
Grandma helped to send Brady off for his first full day of kindergarten.
Can't believe he is getting so big!
