A little fun with the sliding glass door

It will be a matter of time I am afraid before this one pushes his way through our screen door! Andy and Brady were outside grilling up dinner tonight and Alex wanted in on the action. He was pushing and banging so hard on the screen that Andy closed the sliding glass door. The images below are what followed. We thought it was hilarious!

There are many more, but these are a few of the highlights. Silly little monkey!

My Very Own...

Brady has always loved peanut butter and chocolate...so naturally he loved the combination in a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Though he has had the mini ones before, he has never had a "big one" all to himself until last night. I think he downed it in three bites. He was in heaven!

Sharing with Grandpa

The boys and I had lunch with my parents today. Alex has started a new game with my dad. He likes to try to "share" and chew on his toothpick. It is hilarious and Alex thinks so too!

Alex's First Haircut

Alex had his first haircut this week. I didn't get too many pictures because we had to do a lot of holding his head. That clipper makes such interesting noises he kept trying to get a good look at it. He did great and had no tears. That is more than I can say for his big brother!

Can't get enough

Brady would be outside 24-7 if we would let him and a good portion of that time would be spent at a playground these days. Luckily, our new house is really close to an elementary school so we are there often. Brady LOVES swinging and going down the slides.
Alex is usually a trooper. He enjoys going for walks in the stroller and watching his big brother play.
By the end of playtime the other night Alex could not even keep his head up. He was so tired! I thought this picture was precious.

On the Move

On April 12 Alex started crawling. The next day, he began pulling himself up to standing. It is all happening so fast! This is one of his favorite places to explore...the toy box near the kitchen. I can't believe that he is not only on the move, but can move so quickly already!

Ellen's 40th Birthday Bash

April 15 was a very big day for our wonderful friend Ellen, she turned 40! We happily were the hosts for her surprise birthday bash. The house was packed with friends and family eagerly awaiting her arrival. We had an AWESOME night of celebrating how incredible Ellen is!
I was so excited to have found high heals for her cake. Those of you that know Ellen, know that this fits her well! Her cake read, "40 and Still Fabulous!"
One of our partners in planning, Melody! So glad she could come and celebrate with us!
Brady was so excited that Ellen's party was going to be at HIS house.
Andy has had this gift for Ellen for nearly a year. Yep, Callahan Auto. She LOVES Tommy Boy.
Celebrating with the birthday girl and her hubby, the master planner.
Love my Ellen!
Of course, Andy made her try on the tshirt for a picture before she could go home. Happy Birthday, Ellen!

Looking so big

Yep, my little boy with all the smiles is standing all the time now. You can bet that walking shall be coming soon! This is always a great way to be greated after nap time.
This was Alex having fun with daddy doing a little bouncing. He just looks so big to me!

VBall 2010

Following our bowling fun with the Berge's, we headed out for a night of fun at the Vienesse Ball. Here we are with Ellen and Charles all ready to leave for the ball.
Ellen and me...at a party before the ball.
Goofing around taking silly pictures
Me and my hubby. It's not very often anymore that we get a picture of just the two of us with no kiddos!
Boys will be boys

A few of the ladies
Enjoying the ball and some great music
As always, we spent some of the evening with my parents. It is always fun to have them there with us. I loved this one with my dad.

Love, love, love spending time with Ellen and Charles!
Me and my mommy
Cold, tired, and full of giggles...Ellen and I waited for our men to pick us up from our night of fun. What a wonderful evening with wonderful people!

Bowling Extravaganza

Two weeks ago, our great friends the Berge's came for an overnight visit. It was so much fun to have them stay with us and the kids had a blast playing together. Brady was SO excited that they were coming. We picnicked, played at Owen Park, and hit up the bowling alley. Here are a few highlights from our bowling trip.
Brady was so excited he could hardly contain himself!
Alex was passed around as we all tried to take our turn and help out the kids. He was a trooper.
Brady and Josiah were thrilled to play together all weekend. I loved that they would randomly walk up to one another and give the other a hug. It was precious. We attempted a photo. This was the best I was able to capture.
Here is the crew. 4 our of 6 smiling isn't bad right? What a super fun weekend with a great bunch of friends!!

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a busy day for us this year. Between Andy being on-call, going to church, and making the rounds to all our family, we were busy all day long. Our morning began hunting for eggs and our Easter baskets at home. Here is Brady with his hands on the first egg.

Alex found a couple of his own too.

Opening Easter baskets

Brady loves hide and seek right now, so this was extra exciting for him. It took him a while to find his basket.

Among Brady's items was a new Mack truck from Cars. Yep, he is giving Mack a hug.

A little fun with Grandma Johnson

Loved our family picture this year!

Andy wanted to get one to show off Brady's cool shoes along with his baseball tie. What a handsome boy!

Hangin' out with Aunt Lisa

It was Grandpa Johnson's birthday on Easter Sunday and Andy's cousin Darci. Brady could not be left out of a photo of course.

Taking a "nap" with Uncle Matt.
No Easter would be complete with our Peter Rabbit! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Schwartzhoff!
