SNOW DAY!

5:15am phone calls are the best when it means it's a SNOW DAY! Lots of wet heavy snow kept me home with the kids today and it couldn't have been better. We started off the morning with pancakes, coloring, stickers, and then play-doh. We had quite a mess going, but lots of fun. For some reason, the boys decided they needed to wear their sunglasses too. Not sure why...
Anna loved watching all the action while she snacked on puffs.Following MANY games of Uno, some indoor basketball, book reading, Monsters Inc. watching, lunch with daddy, and naps, the boys headed outside for some shoveling and playtime.Shoveling was short lived, though fun for the boys. Snowangels, snowballs fights and snowman making were next.Anna and I poked our heads out for a brief minute to see the progress and snap a few pictures. My shoveling crew!Alex would NOT keep his mittens on. His poor little hands were wet and cold, but he didn't care one bit. There was too much fun to be had! Good thing it was 34 degrees out today!Brady loved launching snowballs at Andy. The boys with their snowman creation just before coming inside.Mmmm...hot chocolate. A great way to warm up. The boys thought they were pretty big stuff using their special 'coffee' mugs from Grandma Johnson. It was a GREAT snow day!

Anna at 11ish months

Andy always says that all I do is take pictures of our kids smiling. Ms. Anna is most certainly not so happy in this first photo. As we were getting ready to head out the door for something this past week, I plunked her in the crib so that she wouldn't get into mischief while we were getting ready to go. NOT HAPPY!
She sure was a cutie all bundled up once we were ready to go though!Anna is really into toys that sings to her. She loves our little activity table.Singing to Anna and playing patty-cake are some of her other favorite things. She is always full of giggles and grins when you sing to her.Hair cut time! I was a little nervous about it, but this past weekend we went for it. I trimmed Anna's hair in the hopes that it would help it settle down a little. She wasn't too sure what to think at first.Trimmed and done, she was a happy girl. And I might add, her hair is not nearly as crazy as it was! Yay!

All About Brady

This past week at school was Brady's week for the All About Me window. He was pretty excited to bring in some of his most favorite things and pictures of himself to share with his classmates. He was pretty proud to show me the window when I picked him up from school the other day.

Gram comes for a visit

Two weeks ago my Grandma Ellen came to see us for a long weekend. She had been in the cities staying with Jen, Jerry and Emma for a week and decided to head our direction for a few days. It was wonderful having her here. The kids always look forward to spending time with Gram!
She took in a movie with the boys and lots of snuggle time and book reading.Anna wanted time with Gram too. She loved crawling up to her and jabbering up a storm for her to hear. Thanks for the great visit Gram!

Crazy Hair!

Anna's hair has been getting increasingly more crazy the long it gets. I just got the giggles when I went in to get her up from naptime in mid-February to see this site.
Trimming was in the future!

Valentine's Day

We had a wonderfully fun, family Valentine's Day. Since going out is always so crazy, I decided to fix lasagna, salad and breadsticks for us at home. Brady and Alex were so excited to have a candlelight dinner. Andy's flowers for me polished off the table nicely. :)
Brady's words during dinner were
"This is the best Valentine's Day feast ever!"
Brady was thrilled with a new car from Cars2 as part of his valentine.Alex was all hugs for his Paint with Water Curious George book.Anna was just happy all around. She got some cute spring monkey princess jammies.Heart shaped brownies and ice cream polished off our feast. This was Anna's first experience with chocolate. Not too sure about it. She didn't spit it out though, so I will take that as a good sign.
Brady and my dad finished off the night with a few games of Uno.
