5:15am phone calls are the best when it means it's a SNOW DAY! Lots of wet heavy snow kept me home with the kids today and it couldn't have been better. We started off the morning with pancakes, coloring, stickers, and then play-doh. We had quite a mess going, but lots of fun. For some reason, the boys decided they needed to wear their sunglasses too. Not sure why...
Anna loved watching all the action while she snacked on puffs.
Following MANY games of Uno, some indoor basketball, book reading, Monsters Inc. watching, lunch with daddy, and naps, the boys headed outside for some shoveling and playtime.
Shoveling was short lived, though fun for the boys. Snowangels, snowballs fights and snowman making were next.
Anna and I poked our heads out for a brief minute to see the progress and snap a few pictures.

Alex would NOT keep his mittens on. His poor little hands were wet and cold, but he didn't care one bit. There was too much fun to be had! Good thing it was 34 degrees out today!

Mmmm...hot chocolate. A great way to warm up. The boys thought they were pretty big stuff using their special 'coffee' mugs from Grandma Johnson.
It was a GREAT snow day!
