Brewer Game

Sunday we headed to the Brewer game. We had fun even though it was an awful game.
All decked out in our Brewer gear.
Miller Park has loads of places for taking photos with kids. We took advantage of many of them!

Daddy and Brady with Fielder and Braun
Brady with his favorite guys in the big glove
On Sunday they had clowns making balloon animals for the kids. Brady was thrilled to get a dog.
Watching the game
When we asked him what he wanted to eat, popcorn was the first thing out of his mouth. Here he is with his treat.
Alex at his first Brewer game!
Brady's popcorn bucket turned into a megaphone when it was empty. In addition to cheering the Brewers on with it, he also had it double as a hat.
Alex sporting his new Braun shirt thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Schwartzhoff
It was Brat bobble head day. Daddy, Brady, and Grandpa Schwartzhoff were all very excited about this. Here is Brady giving his a snuggle.
Alex napped off and on throughout the game.
Then Brady crashed in the 8th inning. 1:05 games are tough for little ones - that hits nap time!
We had to wake Brady up to leave. He was Grandpa Johnson's pal all the way out to the car.

Milwaukee Zoo

This weekend we headed to Milwaukee for a getaway with the boys and both sets of our parents. On Saturday we took the boys to the zoo with Andy's parents and then met up with my parents for the evening and a Brewer game on Sunday. Here are a few of the many pictures I took over the weekend.

We purchased a car kit DVD player for our upcoming trip to South Carolina and thought this was a good opportunity to try it out. Brady thought it was awesome that he could watch movies in the car. Here he is...mesmerized and drinking his "coffee" aka grandpa's empty cup.
This was Alex heading in for his first trip to the zoo!
Brady loved feeding the goats in the kids farm area. He has been talking about how fun it was still today.
Brady's favorite at the zoo included seeing the turtles, alligators, sharks, all the fish, and feeding the goats.
Hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson
Mommy insisted on a family photo. Not the greatest, but here it is.
Feeding time at the zoo, for more than just the animals!
One of the highlights of the day was taking Brady on his first carousel ride. He LOVED it!
He loved it so much in fact, he got a second ride with grandma.
After a long afternoon at the zoo, Brady got a good swim in with mommy and daddy. Here he is snuggled in his "rug" with daddy. I think he called the towel that because of its bumpy texture.

Shaving with Uncle Jerry

Thanks to Uncle Jerry, Brady is learning the fine art of shaving at the ripe old age of 2! Don't worry...the plastic guard is still on that razor.

Waking Up Silly

I cracked up laughing the other day when I went in to get Brady up from his nap and he was trying to put the plastic helmet from a Brewers helmet sundae on his head. What a goon!

Smile!

While giving Alex his bath tonight I got this grin and it was long enough that I could capture it with the camera. He smiles often, but they don't always last too long. He makes my heart just melt.

Mommy's Big Move

I have taught for 7 years now and yesterday and today I moved into my 6th classroom. Ugh... My parents were a HUGE help...watching the boys, packing boxes, moving tables and shelves....I could go on and on. After 12 hours of work, all my stuff is in my new room and most of it is unpacked and put away in it's new home. Another day and I ought to have things in good shape.
Though it is not fun to move again, I am thrilled to have a bigger room with lots more storage. Hopefully now I can stay put for a while!
Praise God for PBS Kids! Here is Brady being entertained by Sesame Street while mommy and grandma were working on unpacking. Alex was napping...
Grandma giving Alex a little love while we worked.
Alex...chillin' on the counter while mommy unpacked.

Church Picnic

This past weekend our church had our annual summer picnic. This year it was at the Fairfax Pool. I had never taken Brady there before and after a cautious entry, he had a blast. Mommy and Brady played together in the water, while Daddy took care of Alex.
It was a chilly evening out of the water. Teeth chattering and all, we still had fun! Among his favorite things to do was jumping into the pool to mommy.
I can do what!?!??! Brady was thrilled to splash in the water. He is often told no on this one when he is in the tub.

Shop 'til You Drop

Last Friday my mom and I headed to the cities with the boys to shop clearance sales for munchkin clothes for next summer. We shopped until Brady dropped!

Jen and Jerry Come for a Visit

Jen and Jerry came for a visit a couple of weekends ago. This "Ta-Da" was seen while playing with the bean bag toss.
Jen played for a wedding that weekend. Here is Brady "helping" her practice.

Milestone Pictures

We recently had the boys pictures taken - Brady his 2 year and Alex's newborn. They turned out great with the exception of any of the pictures of just the two boys together. It was a lot for Brady to do in one sitting, so I was thrilled to get these gems.

Brady's 2 year

It's summer...we had to have pictures in Brewer gear! Andy is so jealous...Brady got a REAL jersey before daddy did!

Our first professional family photo - Alex looks thrilled doesn't he?!?!

Sleep Glorious Sleep!

Alex slept for 7 straight hours last night. Praise God! It was glorious! I love sleep!

"Umm...Chinese!"

Brady has been on a Chinese food kick lately. Yesterday when I asked him what he wanted to lunch he said, "Umm...Chinese!" Good thing I had left over chicken, rice, and veggies from dinner the other night. A little soy sauce, chop it all up...Chinese! He was thrilled.

"Brady's Birthday"

Yesterday Brady was running around the house with all of the balloons from his party proclaiming, "Brady's Birthday!" and giggling. It was adorable.

Easily Amused...

The other day while I was changing sheets on beds and doing laundry, Brady was having his usual hay-day in the pillows. Things got quiet, so I returned to our room to see what was up. He had crashed on the floor and was watching Sesame Street. It was too cute.
I have been hitting up the clearance racks for Brady clothes for next summer. While putting them away in a tub, Brady got a hold of the hangers. Who needs toys?
