"Mommy, mess!"

Ah the adventures...This was the site of the bed where Brady should have been sleeping when I went in to get him up from nap time. My sneaky little guy was rather quiet making his little disaster.
This is the face I walked it to see. With big eyes, Brady looked at me and said "Mommy, mess!" and looked around the room. The pictures don't do it justice. He emptied his diaper drawer to the floor, along with many items from his bookshelf. The mess I didn't care about so much, it was the "painting" he did with the diaper cream and a safety swab that did me in. If you look carefully, you can see he painted the dresser and his footboard in the pictures below. Oh, the carpet also. Praise God that it was white!

My big boy is growning up...

Brady is growing up so fast! This weekend we got his big boy bed. He was so excited. Yesterday, he insisted on reading, by himself, on his new bed...yes, still in the plastic on the floor.
This was this morning after he got up. Last night was his last night in his crib, Lord willing. Here he is checking it out for the first time. Doesn't he look huge!??!
My cutie...couldn't resist posting this one.

Too smart for his own good

Yesterday, I talked my hubbie into digging out the newborn baby clothes for me from up above the garage. While doing so, he also brought down one of Brady's little chairs that go with his table in the kitchen. When Brady saw it this morning, you could see the wheels turning. He promptly scooted the chair over to his hoop, climbed up on it, and DUNKED his basketball shouting, "Dunk! Yeah, did it!" One of his favorite things to do... He started off on his knees, but soon realized that it was even better to stand. I'm telling you, he is too smart for his own good sometimes!

What a ham

So tonight Brady hauled the Boppy pillow out of his room and beached on the kitchen floor. Andy thought this was cute and took a picture (the one you see below).
After a couple were snapped, Brady played a little and then insisted that daddy take a few more pictures. Our little ham even posed for the camera. Check out the next two. Too funny.

Cold, but fun!

Last night we thought we would take Brady bowling with Jen and Jer. Forgot to check if it was league night...so there was no bowling for us. We decided to stop at the school by us though on our way home for Brady to play a little. It was cold, but fun. He had a great time. These are a couple of my gems!

Fun filled weekend

This is spring break week for me and Andy and I decided that, though we weren't going anywhere warm, we wanted to get out of town for a couple of days. We decided to head to the cities to stay with Jen and Jerry for a night and took in a couple of fun activities.
I was thrilled to find out that the 3rd Sunday of every month, Target sponsors a free day at the Children's Museum of Minnesota. Best of all, their traveling exhibit right now is of Clifford, which Brady loves. We headed there first of course.
Brady loved all the slides at the museum. The one on Clifford was his favorite.

Brady always loves anything musical. Drums are always the best.

We had lots of fun playing in the stream
and crawling through the tree log tunnels.
Our family photo in the forest.
Figuring out these gears was tough, but super fun once Brady got the hang of it!
Here is our little scientist checking out how all the water works flowing through the tubes. This was so much fun, there were tears when we walked away.
After a good nights sleep, we headed to Como Zoo for an afternoon with Aunt Jen and Uncle Jerry. Brady loved seeing the animals. I just smiled at this photo as he pulled himself closer to the fence to get a better look.

Monkeys are always a favorite. Brady would only look at the monkey, not at me taking the picture.
Here he is naming off all of the monkey's facial features.

Chillin' before bed

In the last month or so, Brady has fallen in love with the show Word World on PBS. Last week before bed one night, he was insisting on watching one. He climbed into our bed, covered up, and awaited the DVD to begin. Doesn't he look so big!?!?
Here are Brady and Daddy relaxing...watching Word World before bedtime.

Becca and Baby update

Many people have been asking how baby and I are doing. We are doing great! Against my wishes, Andy took a picture of me going into month 7 for this baby boy. So, here it is. I have been feeling him move around all the time now and he is beginning to wake me up at night. Back aches have begun to set in...ah the joys!
Brady knows all about where is baby brother is. He often comes up to me to give him a hug and kiss. Andy captured this one. I thought it was precious.

Baseball Season begins with Valentine's Day

Baseball season is a big deal in this household, so showing my husband how much I love him, for Valentine's Day I got him and Brady matching shirts to help kick off the new season.
Of course, they are Ryan Braun shirts. Here are my boys sporting their #8!
No Brewer gear for me...but I did get 2 dozen roses sent to school! I was totally surprised and they were gorgeous!

Recent Candids

I have been a bit pokey keeping up with posting lately. Here are a few candids of Brady from the last couple of weeks. He is still very into drumming. Recently, the favorite has been mommy's kitchen spoons on the rug. He also LOVES to have mommy or daddy play along with him. Here are Brady and Daddy playing a "beat."
Our baseball glove is another favorite toy.
This was our snoozing angel just this weekend. Too cute.
