An evening out

One night we were headed out for dinner after a long week. We asked Brady where he wanted to go and chose one of his favorites "Pizza Wanch!" Andy insisted upon a photo.
Can't believe that we need two high chairs when we go out to eat now. Before Alex always sat in his car seat....he is getting big so fast!

Alex's new seat

I just couldn't lug it anymore. Alex has outgrown his infant car carrier and moved up to a big boy car seat recently. One morning before work, I had Alex all ready to go and laid him on the floor while I got one my coat and shoes. Brady thought this looked like so much fun, he plunked down next to him on his tummy to play with him. It was hilarious.
My big boys

Alex's new coat is getting lots of attention around town. No matter where we go, people love his little bear ears. Isn't he a cutie!

Still learning

Alex is doing better with his solid foods. He really likes oatmeal. Orange veggies are okay, but he is not too big of a fan of the green ones yet!

Tub Time

My baby boy has moved up to the big tub. Alex is loving being able to splash and play in the water in the tub seat rather than the infant tub. He looks so big!
Brady LOVES it when he and Alex take a tub together. He enjoys showing Alex all of the tub toys and how they work.

Congratulations, Mommy!

Alex joined us in his seat at the dinner table for the first time tonight. It was fun having him at the table with us rather than in a seat ON it! He enjoyed it too!
This was hilarious. I made chicken wild rice soup for dinner tonight. Brady was inhaling it he was so hungry. About 3/4 of the way through dinner he asked to hold my hand. I gave it to him and he shook it and said, "Congratulations, Mommy! It's tasty and delicious and you made it just for me!" We laughed so hard. Here he is then congratulating daddy as well.

Alex's first real food

Now that the craziness of the move is behind us, we figured it was about time to get Alex started on some solid food. We began with some cereal. Here is the happy boy awaiting his meal!
First bite in...not so sure.
By the end we were screaming. He was hungry and it just wasn't coming fast enough or what he was used to. Since this first try he is getting better!

Happy Birthday Andy!

Sunday was Andy's birthday. We celebrated by having dinner with friends and family at Cancun (Andy's favorite!).
Following dinner we headed back to our place. Brady had helped me make daddy's birthday cake. He of course had to help blow out the candles too!

Reindeer games

I had these glasses for my kids at school on party day before Christmas and ended up with a couple left. Brady and I had fun wearing them together one evening, just being silly.

I'm a REAL Packer

A couple days after Christmas, daddy got Brady dressed. Since it was game day, he put Brady in his Packer jersey. Then the new helmet, football slippers, and ball came out. Brady ran from his room to find me and declared, "Mommy, now I'm a REAL Packer!" So cute!

Christmas Morning

We were all awfully excited for Christmas morning. When Brady woke up the first thing he said was "Mommy, did Santa eat the cookies and milk?" So much fun, because this year he really got it. Santa brought the boys a new train set and train table. Brady was so exited. He plays with it every day.

Opening gifts. Don't know how well you can see it, but Brady got a mini-bowling set in his stocking that is in his hand. He plays with it constantly. Who knew the $2.49 gift would be such a hit?!
Brady got a Packer helmet and jersey. He thought that was pretty cool.

Sledding with Aunt Jen

Christmas Eve day Brady got his first big sledding adventure. My sister Jen wanted to take him and they had a blast. Here are a few of my MANY pictures from their great time.
Brady giggled all the way down the hill. It was hilarious to watch him. He LOVED it!

Brady did take one face plant in the snow. It sure did surprise him, but he kept on smiling and just said "More, more!" Thanks for a fun adventure Aunt Jen!

Christmas Eve with the family

Christmas Eve was a busy day/evening for us. We celebrated with both of our parents so there was lots of excitement and two very tired boys by the end of the day.
Tipping to the side...here are the boys on Christmas Eve.
I just love that little Santa hat!
Alex wasn't too sure what to make of all this. He liked his toys and pounding on the boxes.
Opening presents on his first Christmas.
Brady is sporting his new Brewer hat while opening his new red converse shoes. Just like Daddy's old Innocent Men shoes. Brady calls them his basketball shoes.
Our family at church on Christmas Eve.
Brady was so excited! He got a REAL drum set! It does drums and cymbals. You can even play along with song. He was in heaven!
His arcade basketball game was a big hit too.
My little Santa baby...konked out at the end of a very fun day.

We made it!

December 23 we made it. The tree was up before Christmas. So many people thought we were nuts for putting up a tree at all, but how can you not when it's your youngest's first Christmas and you have a 2 year old in the house!??! Here is Alex helping put the first ornament on the tree for his first Christmas.

This photo about sums up our month of December! We were all worn out! Alex fell asleep in his jumperoo one day. I felt so bad. We were working on unpacking and he was playing. Poor thing just fell asleep right in there. Don't worry, we took him out and put him right to bed.
Here was the finished product. Our new tree in our new house BEFORE Christmas!
More house pictures to come....I haven't gotten around to taking those yet.
