I didn't have the camera on me to capture this moment tonight, but wanted to share my favorite Brady line from today. We went out for chinese tonight and at the end of the meal Brady insisted upon opening his fortune cookie by himself and reading it on his own. When we asked him what it said he replied with a grin on his face, "Jesus loves me!" Sounds to me like the best fortune ever! It was so precious!

Brady's first day of preschool
Our big boy had his first day of preschool this past week. He was SO excited! Here he is with his Buzz and Woody backpack all ready to go.
Grandma's handiwork
While my gram was in town for Labor Day weekend, she finished up Alex's quilt. It is SO cute and he loves it. We tried taking a few pictures with the boys, but they were not cooperating the best. This is the best we could do.
Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day weekend was filled with lots of family fun. We spent most of it with my parents, Jen and Jerry and my grandma. We began our beautiful Saturday with a trip to the apple orchard. It was the first weekend to pick.
The boys had lots of fun in the bounce house. It was Alex's first time inside. Here he is learning from his big brother.
Tons of fun!

Both boys loved the apple wagon ride. Grandpa was the lucky one to take them.
Brady especially loved launching apples with daddy. What little boy doesn't?
I thought this picture was just too cute as we headed for the trees and some picking.
Brady picking all of our delicious honey crisps!
He was so proud!
We followed up the orchard with a train ride in Carson Park. It was the first time we have done it and it was super fun. The boys loved it!
Brady's first homework
The week before school started, Brady had a bit of homework to complete for his open house at preschool. His school has a theme for each month and in September their theme is Space. So we had a rocket to paint and one to fill in wtih some info about Brady. He loved doing it and seemed to enjoy that he was doing his homework!

How long will this last?
Adventures in the Cities
Just before school started we enjoys a fun filled weekend in the Twin Cities with my fam. Here are the highlights from our adventures.
We began our weekend with a picnic at Como Park, took in Como Zoo and Como Town.
Alex on his first carousel ride!
Brady enjoyed the ride too.
Brady enjoyed the ride too.
Kissin' the turtle for Aunt Jen.
Alex LOVES fish. I think he could stand for hours just watching and talking to them.
Our for a stroll with Uncle Jerry and Grandpa.
Brady's favorite rides at Como Town are always the cars. I think he rode them all.
Andy talked Brady into the teacups again this time. He was a little more brave and they were able to spin a bit faster than his first ride.
This is Jen dancing the Electric Slide with Alex. He giggled the whole time.
The boys both loved the train ride. Alex bounced up and down and said "Oohh!" the entire ride. He was so excited.
We polished off our evening with the boys first trip to Chuck E. Cheese. Brady was so excited he hardly knew what to do with himself. Alex really enjoyed this little car rides.
Alex played a round of whack-a-shark (what happened to the mole?). All he really wanted to do was hold the hammer and watch the sharks pop up and down.
Brady's game of choice - Skee Ball. He LOVES it. Here he is watching his jackpot of tickets spit out of the machine.
Yes, I mean jackpot. The kiddos won himself 125 tickets all in one game!
Little stinker beat us all by scoring 42,000 points all by himself. I think he hit those tiny corners worth 10,000 points a piece three times in that one game. He was SO excited!
Shootin' hoops was another favorite
Alex hangin' with Stuart Little
Even the big boys had lots of fun.
Brady enjoyed a few games of air hockey as well. It's always fun to beat daddy and Uncle Jerry.
What can I say, the kiddo loves the ticket muncher. 545 tickets for his big prize.
Brady was thrilled to pieces to come home with a new Chuck E. Cheese bat and ball. Like we need more of those around our house!
Sunday was a beautiful day, so Jen and Jerry took us to the Heart of the City. Great park! The boys loved playing in the water.
On this crazy fountain the water pressure changes when you touch the water. Brady thought it was great. Yes, he is trying to 'sit' on the water. :)
