Happy Halloween!

My little lion and tiger all ready for trick-or-treating. This was the first year we did much door to door trick-or-treating. Brady loved it. Then we hit the car and headed to our usual stops.

I loved this one. Alex making one of his silly faces and Brady giving his little tiger a cuddle.

Alex is such a daddy's boy right now it is crazy.
All ready to head out!

We met up with the Grotjahn's for a short visit. It is always fun to get the kids together when they are all dressed up.
Next stop, the Cedarblades! It just wouldn't be Halloween without a stop at Ellen and Charles! Brady informed us that they have "lots of good treats."
Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Schwartzhoff was super fun. They not only had the lights on for us outside, but also their Christmas lights. The boys thought that was super cool.
Our little trick-or-treaters ringing the door bell.
Last stop of the evening was at Grandma and Grandpa Johnsons.
The end of the night and can you tell who is tired and who is all wound up?!
Our second pumpkin. Took a while to carve this one, but it sure turned out cool.

Pumpkin Fun at Home

We had some more pumpkin fun at home tonight. Brady is a great scooper and helped to clean out another pumpkin at home tonight. He was literally up to his arm pits in pumpkin.
Alex wanted in on the action but he was all ready for bed. Here he is taking a peak inside.
"Are you sure all the seeds are out daddy?"
Brady and I did some sticker pumpkins too. Found the stickers at school among stuff and I knew he would enjoy them. We made this pumpkin and then did several others on paper. It was a fun fall evening.

Father Pumpkin Night

Last night Brady and Andy loaded up to head to preschool for Father Pumpkin Night. This was a great Halloween event of pumpkin carving, snacks, and mummy making. Here are Brady and Andy carving out their pumpkin.

Brady's bat - he was so excited!

Our First Pets

Over the last week, Andy has been hard at work to put together a new aquarium for our house. We acquired this 55 gallon gem from some friends of our that were no longer using it. The boys were thrilled. This was the first Brady had seen the tank once it was all set up. Water was in, just waiting for some fish.
Last Sunday we went fish shopping. The boys love watching them swim around and Brady is a great helper with feeding them each day.

Two of Alex's favorite things

Pulling every book off his bookshelf and then giggling when you come and find him in the mess.
Finally getting his hands on his big brothers drum sticks and enjoying a few precious minutes to bang away all by himself before someone snatches the sticks out of his hands. I just love the pure joy on his face!

Fall Fun

In early October we had a fun fall day with my family. We started off our morning with the UWEC homecoming parade. It was chilly, but fun. Brady cozied up with grandma to stay warm.
Alex was lovin' his football that he got from the alumni association.
Following the parade we headed to Schultz's Farm in Eleva for some pumpkins and goat feeding.
Alex loved walking through all the pumpkins. He blended right in!

We were not in wonderful photo mood on this chilly day, so here is the best we could do. It was all we could do just to get them both sitting!
Big brother hugs can be a little rough.

We went from a chilly October morning to 70's the next week. Natually a good day to do some raking and jumping in the leaves!

Alex's first venture into the leaves. What a cutie!

The Many Faces of Alex

Alex is one expressive little boy. He cracks us up with all the faces he makes. The other night at dinner, we got these four within just a few minutes of one another.

My little astronaut

Brady's first month of preschool was all space themed. Among his many projects was this cute astronaut mask. He loves wearing it and running around saying "To infinity and beyond! Just like Buzz, Mommy!"
