Alex's 3rd Birthday Party!

On May 28 we celebrated Alex's 3rd birthday!  This was our sign to greet guests as they arrived.

Alex has been asking for a Kermit cake for months.  Here it is!

We did "autographed" pictures of Alex's favorite Muppets for our decorations.

The sign for the bathroom door.

My one dollar thrift sale find!

No gonna lie, the Kermit balloon was totally sweet.

The food - Miss Piggy's White Glove Finger Sandwiches (aka BBQ's)

Chef's Swedish Meatballs

Scooter's Back Stage Snacks

Kermit's Rainbow Connection Fruit Kabobs

Animal's Drum Sticks

We also had Statler and Waldorf's Crummudgin Cruddites with Quip Dip...but I forgot to get a picture.

Sam and Eagle's All American Patriot Beer

The party goers enjoying some food, sunshine and fun!

We got Alex this Kermit shirt and gave it to him in the morning.  We was so excited about it and his Kermit cake!

Blowing out the candles.

My happy birthday boy

Kermit's cake had to be rainbow!

There was some serious play going on in the fort.

Many of our gift pics were blurry due to the open window behind him.
Here are a few that turned out.

Sporting his new Kermit hat.

Between both sets of grandparents and us, Alex got four muppet friends.  He was SO excited!  The Muppet Show on DVD and his Muppet sippy cups were a big hit too!

Playing with his new Badger football.

Working hard.

Lovin' life!

Snuggling with his new muppet friends.  It was a great day!
Thanks for everyone who came to help us celebrate!

Brady's last day of 4K

Brady's last day at the Children's Center for 4K was a great one.  He has had a wonderful year!  His school is being torn down this year as they are moving to a new building out south of town and building a new education building.

Showing daddy how choosing the daily helper works.

Brady got to keep his daily helper stick.  This was a BIG deal!

Ah the block area, Brady's favorite place in his classroom.

Brady and his best bud, Madi.

The tree house!

Brady and Mya were not in the same class this year, but attended the same school.

Brady with his teacher Ms. Michelle.  He LOVES her!

After coming home from his last day, Brady proceeded to play school most of the afternoon.  it was so fun watching him and having his "teach" me how his classroom works.  In this picture he was reading Alex a story for story time.  :)

Story Time!

I know that someday Brady will hate me for this picture...but he was reading to Anna the other night...while he was going to the bathroom...and it was too cute not to capture it.

Anna and Emma

As a good aunt, I have taken it upon myself to make sure that my niece Emma gets to try out some girly accessories.  While her daddy wasn't looking I snuck a bow in her hair and shot a quick pic.  :)

We tried out one of Anna's new headbands too, but it's still a little big.  Cute though.

These two little cousins both wore their teal butterfly shirts last weekend.  We thought they were pretty adorable.

 Just chattin' away already.  :)

Story time for the girls with daddy/uncle Jerry.

Brady's School Birthday

Brady was beyond excited to get to celebrate his birthday at school in early May.  They had been doing all of the summer birthdays and we wanted to celebrate with something different.  I found this idea online for Birthday Bots!  Super cute and Brady had a blast making them.  He was a hard worker!

Doing the final count to make sure that we had enough.

So excited for tomorrow!

The finished product.

The proud birthday boy.  He was thrilled to get to wear his crown and be the daily helper.  The birthday bots were big hit with his class.

May Day

It's May Day!  Tonight after dinner it was project time.  The boys and I made butterfly May baskets this year.  We stapled, stickered, pipe cleanered, and filled them with treats.  They were pretty proud of their work and couldn't wait to go make the deliveries.  We made one basket for each set of grandparents and one basket for each boy.
Waiting on the doorstep, all ready to ring the first bell.
 Happy May Day, Grandma!
Happy May Day, Grandma and Grandpa!

PIGTAILS!

Yes!  Anna's first pigtails made an appearance on Sunday morning.  The boys ran around saying, "Alien Baby!  Alien Baby!"  They thought they looked like little antennae coming out of her head.  Alex's first reaction was "Crazy Hair!"  Then they settled for the fact that she looked like Boo from Monsters Inc.  I guess you can tell that my boys aren't around little girls much.  It was quite the topic of conversation.  I thought it was adorable!  So excited!

My Soccer Stud

This is my favorite soccer picture of Brady yet.  He looks so grown up and just loves playing in his games.  Two weeks ago he wore shorts and short sleeves...last week we sat in the wind, cold, and SNOW to watch him score his first goal!  Crazy the weather spring brings.  No one minded the weather.  It was SO worth it to see the excitement of his first goal.  He is still talking about it!

Anna's First Brewer Game

On Sunday, April 22, 2012 Anna attended her first Brewer game!  She was all decked out in her warm Brewer gear because it was a bit on the chilly side.  A pleasant way to watch the game!
Grandpa Johnson and Brady taking in the game....and the snacks!
Alex was lovin' life sitting with daddy and watching baseball.
1 o'clock games are tough to make it through when it's naptime.  Anna snuggled right in and took her nap at the ballpark.
Miller Park is sporting a new score board this year.  It's pretty awesome.
Up from our nap and enjoying the game with Grandma.
Brady and Andy decided to make a little of their own fun during the game.

Anna snagged Alex's hat.  With a green nuk you can hardly tell she's a little girl!  Have no fear, she was wearing pink shoes.  :)
 Brady and Grandma
I just love this picture of my Alex.
The boys got to run the bases after the game.  Brady took off and ran them as fast as he could.
Alex on the other hand was a bit timid.  One of the Brewer's workers helped him around the bases since daddy's weren't allowed on the field.
Then we tried for a family picture.  We got about 20 of these....
before we got one of these.
 Hey, it's BRADY!
 We found Mickey!
 And Bernie!
Heading back to the car.  This is how we travel.
It was a fun first game for Anna!
